Through the heart of downtown Iowa City, a river flows. Strong, fast, unforgivable. This is the story of how three college students, myself included, drove their car into the river one fateful night.  I know, you’re already thinking the absolute worst, and you should! Let me backtrack.  Fall 2018. Midterms were approaching fast and furious, and the tension at the University was at an all time high. Students studying more than half the day, eating to compensate for the stress they were feeling, and the fear you wouldn’t pass the first major test of the semester.
